SEGA was looking to boost awareness of its new Motorsport Manager game. The game, a chance to try your hand at the complicated world of live strategy, would launch with an advertising budget but SEGA was keen to see if a media relations campaign would raise awareness amongst its key audience.
We identified the need to add credibility to the cluttered world of motorsport gaming. With so many products on the market, it was important fans understood the level of detail that had gone into the game’s development so as to position it correctly for the client.
Crunch enlisted the help of former F1 driver and technical analyst, Karun Chandhok. Karun’s style, experience and knowledge added a much-needed element of sincerity to the product.
We filmed a series of short video content pieces with Karun, which were posted online and into influential gaming forums. These bite-size shorts captured the essence of the technical, complicated side of the game, matching it with the approachability for which Karun is known.
